Join Fairfield First Fridays Art Walk for a Gallery Hop!
Join Fairfield First Fridays on May 3rd, from 6 to 9:00 p.m., for a night of art and fun! This event is a “passport” event. Stop in any of the participating galleries, get your “passport” stamped at each location, fill out your information and return to Cindy’s Art Beat by 9:15pm to be entered to win a piece of art from a local artist. The winner will be drawn at 9:30pm, you do not have to be present to win!
The works to choose from, by local artists, will be on display at Cindy’s ArtBeat. Artwork by Bill Teeple, Greg Thatcher, John Preston, Danielle Shier, Terrence Kennedy, David Kupferman, Joanie McGinnis, Care Connet and others.
We have six participating galleries! They are ICON, Americus Diamond, Fairfield CoLab, Cindy’s ArtBeat, Carnegie Historical Museum, and Fairfield Art Association (Please look at the times each location closes, so you are able to visit them all to complete your passport).

Americus Gallery-100 W. Burlington Ave. Americus Gallery will be showing Christopher Kufner's original oil paintings, featuring Italian/French Landscapes, large format photographs of the Italian countryside and Figurative works. NEW Original Graphite works by Dale Divoky, original oil paintings by Kim Kufner, Original watercolor and ink paintings by Genevra Bell, Art Glass Vases by David Lotton, Leaping Koi sculptures by Dale Divoky, Kristin Ford’s Jewelry with Meaning, many of which are one of a kind, and Custom dichroic glass jewelry by Pedro Lujano. Carnegie Historical Museum 112 S. Court St. Heritage Farms of Jefferson County. Open 6-9pm. The Carnegie Historical Museum will be highlighting one Heritage Farm per month. Heritage Farms are those which have been in the same family for 150 years of more. Jefferson County has fourteen farms which have received this recognition. The museum has established a special exhibit case so that each family, in rotation, will have the opportunity to share their story and display their special artifacts. Each Heritage Farm will have their display for a one-month time period and the following month’s First Friday will feature the next honored farm family. The Heritage Farm for May is the Marsha Hupp Family Farm. *Passport Location*
Cindy's ArtBeat- Art Supply Store and Henderson's Gallery -53 W. Broadway Ave. Open 6:30-9:45pm The works to choose from for the Gallery Hop Raffle, by local artists, will be on display at Cindy’s Art Beat. Fairfield Art Association (Inside the Civic Center)- Open 6-8pm The Fairfield Art Association announces the exhibit of "Recent Watercolor and Oil Paintings" by Iowa artist Michael Broshar, opening in the Main Galleryin the Fairfield Arts & Convention Center on Friday May 3 from 6-8 PM. Also in the Hallway Gallery will be Fairfield artist Elaine Duncan's recent "Collages". A reception will be held for both the artists on June 7. *Passport Location*
Fairfield CoLab- 101 N. Court St. (Old Iowa State Bank on the Square) Open from 6-9:30pm Artwork by Eric Sczuka, and Irene Murphy, Photography by Care Connet, Eco-Jam Fashion Show entries on display as well! *Passport Location*
ICON Gallery- 58 N. Main St. Open 6:30-9:30. In the main gallery:Paintings by Jim Weidle. Veteran realist painter shares paintings from 2022 - 2024, including works from his recent New York show. In the Hudson Gallery on the ICON mezzanine: All 55 Shiva Linga paintings in the ICON Collection are on view. - *Passport Location*

Big Blue- 410 W. Lowe Ave. Open from 6:30-9:30. At Big Blue, there will be an opening of artworks by Jenny Sammons and John Schirmer. Stop in!
